Dow Announces Price Increase for Acrylates in All Regions

Midland, MI - September 14, 2005

The Dow Chemical Company and its affiliates ("Dow") has announced a price increase for acrylic acid and esters ("acrylates") in all regions of the world, effective October 1, 2005.  Dow will increase selling prices in the United States and Canada by $0.10 per pound; in Asia Pacific by US$200 per metric ton; in Europe by 160 Euros per metric ton; in the Middle East/Africa by US$200 per metric ton; and in Latin America by US$200 per metric ton, or as otherwise allowed by individual contract terms.

Products included in this increase are glacial acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate.
