Dow Announces Acrylic Acid and Esters Price Increase for Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific Midland, MI - August 14, 2006 In consideration of increasing raw materials costs and the need to improve margins, The Dow Chemical Company and its affiliates (“Dow”) has announced a price increase for acrylic acid and esters (“acrylates”) in Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, effective September 1, 2006, or as otherwise allowed by individual contract terms. Dow will increase selling prices in these regions by US$100 per metric ton. Products included in this increase are glacial acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate.
